Six weeks of work leaves on a truck. The photographs shouldn’t leave on a phone.

Dana runs a woodworking school outside Asheville — hand-tool joinery, chairmaking, and a six-week furniture intensive that draws people using most of a year’s vacation days to attend. Students arrive with a rough idea and leave with one finished piece they built entirely themselves.
Dana started photographing finished work for the school’s own records — clean shots of each piece against a plain wall, plus a few of the joinery before assembly hid it. Students began asking for copies to show family, to enter into county fairs, and increasingly to price commissions of their own.

Dana uses Solberra to sell a photo set after each intensive: the finished piece properly lit, the joinery details, and a few shots of the build in progress. Students get images good enough to submit somewhere. Dana stops emailing files one at a time.
